Stealing some time for a little self care is just a bloody-well FANTASTIC idea!
Today that looked like exercise & sweat, a face mask, and a dog walk. (with a guided meditation playing through my earphones)
We’ve all got a ton going on, some are dealing with chronic stress, illnesses, work, financial stuff, family stuff, ‘adulting’ and trying to be a good human in the world.
Carving out a few moments, or maybe an hour, to care for your body & mind is important as all heck!
I have to remind myself sometimes that if I am too busy for a little time out ...well that’s often when it is the most needed!
So here I am with a rather fun and delicious ‘honey matcha facial mask’. There’s just something about applying a face mask that says ‘mama it is time to RELAX’.🙂
So here’s what I did; to my dōTERRA clay mask I added 1 tbs matcha powder + 1tbs honey and a drop of geranium EO. I love honey for facial care, it’s antibacterial and leaves my skin really soft. Geranium is excellent for skin health & mood, and Matcha (think green tea)is high in antioxidants.
Plus I love the colour:)
My mug felt exfoliated and soft as a baby’s...but most importantly I felt centred & relaxed.
